Youth Sports Booster Clubs

Youth Sports Booster Clubs

If you have a child in youth sports, especially travel sports, you know how expensive it can be. Between fees, gear and travel, the costs quickly rise. Not everyone can afford to support their child’s sports activities, but more options are popping up to help. One type of booster club involves working events as a volunteer and putting the money toward expenses. Here is how it works.

Find a Group and Get Trained

Some nonprofit booster clubs partner with sports and concert venues to work booths and concession stands selling food and alcohol. Once you obtain your alcohol license Dallas TX, you can go to training and select the events you would like to work on. Often there is an agreement between the venue and the nonprofit to give a percentage of overall sales and credit card tips to the nonprofit to distribute toward sports activities.

Make It Fun

If you work with a nonprofit who partners with a concert venue, you can be part of the action. If you like music and people, this can be a great environment to serve concertgoers and hear some great music at the same time. You can have the option of selecting events that work with your schedule.

Submit For Reimbursement

As you earn money, you acquire your percentage of funds that is held by the nonprofit for reimbursement. As you pay the sports organization for fees and travel, simply submit your receipts to the nonprofit who reimburses the expenses. Many of these groups also provide full sponsorships to underprivileged youth every season, too. You can only be reimbursed for the amount that has been paid directly to the organization for sports-associated fees.

If you would like your child to participate in youth sports but have been holding back due to expenses, then you now have an option to let them participate. Find a local nonprofit, volunteer to earn reimbursement, and position your child to participate in activities they love.
